Mc Shenzy’s debut album “ECHOES OF SILENCE” has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is indeed a force to reckon with, not only around Nairobi’s hip hop circles but has also earned him stripes across borders. The soft spoken humble down to earth mc is popular for his exceptional witty conscious political lyrics. With cuts like pesa (money) , fungua macho(open your eyes) njaa(hunger), napitia(coming through), my style, funga mdomo(shout your mouth) just to mention a few of this album being classified as classics, the entire album is produced by kdawg of the krackxs mastaz, guest appearances by deeper, chief lyric (Houston), enright mob (Texas)
Success of this project has not only broadened his fan base but has also enabled him work on projects with Steve J now signed to bad boy “lipos”(Lebanon), metabolism baslik(South Africa), and catapulted his plays on my space to over 350,000 plays and landed him a silver screen movie sound track deal to be released later in 2010.
Mc Shenzy is currently working on his second album not yet named and looking forward to his tours with uswa kamili later this year in SA (Hip-hop heritage tour) USA (not yet confirmed) and finishing up on his documentary.
